I have a blog but apparently I'm not much better about posting to it as I am to Journaling...
Anyway, the bathroom redo is creeping along with Rob working full-time at his day-job and only finding time in the evenings or weekends ( provided nothing else is going on ... which something or other ALWAYS is ). I should have taken photos before he started ( after he gutted the bathroom but left the toilet since I couldn't see going indefinitely with only ONE!!) ... that was when we lovingly referred to that room as the "Dungeon" since the window was boarded-up ( because Mishka locked me out One day and I had to break it to get back in the house ) and the floor was ( and still is for the time being ) Concrete. Here are some Photos I took a few days ago:

New Plumbing!!

New Light Fixture ( Rob made this...he said it is Keriscutle Lighting?? I'm sure I mispelled it but it means that the light goes out and up toward the ceiling and isn't all hot and in your face like track lighting ).

I just LOVE how he framed out the door and the new medicine cabinet that he built...it was sooooo nice when he first showed it to me that I didn't want him to stick it into the wall!! He promised to make me another cause I want to hang it like a shelf/shadow box for little Nik Naks!!

This is where the new sink and vanity cabinet will go...

Don't you just love the rocks on the wall?? He stole all my little river rocks that were sitting in my little candle dishes!! Oh, and the slate is just killer!!

New "Frosted" Window :)) Yeah, PRIVACY!!

New Bathtub ;))

The photo taped to the door is his "Inspiration" for the redo which was structurally necessary as the tiles were literally falling off the walls!! Apparently the developer who built this house didn't use the proper type of drywall ( which I have come to learn is called "Green Board" or something like that ) and it wasn't moisture proof at all!! At least now I know it will be done right but as we have been in this house for Nine years now, I'm not certain how much longer we will be here to enjoy all the wonderfull remodeling that has been creeping along for the past few years now since the daughters originally "officially" moved out.
Well, time is getting short so I must go tend to other things for now but it has been fun visiting with you ;))
