Paper Freebies AND Venting:

We get Thunderstorms EVERYDAY and sometimes more than One. My DSL kept going out everyday after the rain started and would be out for hours! It always happened whenever I found any time to be productive and needed to get online. I called a tech out 2 weeks ago and was informed that I did NOT need to be home as the tech would be looking for the problem outside. Well, I got home and there was a hang-tag saying, "sorry we missed you." RRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrr.... need I say more!

Well, I called again a few days after that when I got another chance and the tech came out last Friday. Well, he was here 2 and a half hours!! Then he said he was confused why all the different color wires were working together? I told him that I really have no idea!! I also told him that it is such an amazing and ironic coincidence that I never had any of these problems in the last 14 years with Bellsouth but since AT&T has taken them over the problems started.

I tried to get some answers but of course he pretended not to understand me... he had a very strong accent.... perhaps Spanish like from South America? So, eventually he came back in the house with a FILTER that he removed from outside somewhere and said we didn't need it!! Okay, I thought he must know what he is doing, Right?

WRONG! Now I can't even make a simple phone call without some really loud and annoying static! But I'm getting ahead of myself....

so then he proceeded to tell me that there were some exposed wires outside and he fixed that.... HELLO? Sounds to me like that was the problem.... but, he told me the problem was inside my house?? HUH??? When he was packing up to leave I asked him if it was fixed and he said he was pretty sure that it was but we'll just have to wait for some rain! Okay, well sure enough we got that rain along with LOTS and LOTS of Very close and bright Lightning and Thunder.

Guess what? The power went out a couple of times but the DSL stayed working even though we got SOAKED!

Now, back to the static.... well, I scheduled a tech to come fix that today and whilst I was still on the phone scheduling ( last Friday after DSL Guy left ) that AT&T called and left me an automated message stating they had checked my line and found NO TROUBLE! The message also stated that they would call me again since they got my voice mail so I figured they would still show-up today. WRONG AGAIN! No One came and I have been busy with other things then I just called and now they assure me they will send someone no matter what tomorrow. Oh, like I don't have enough to do with all my limited time.

Oh, and then the CS Rep tells me I am luck to have ANY DSL @ all since AT&T had a Major Cable struck by Lightning in my area ;) Oh, now I should just count my blessings??

Sorry to go on and on but I tell you I have been just getting a lot of practice in PATIENCE. It is indeed a Virtue! and I must say that I am rather proud of myself in that I conducted myself in an almost perfect ladylike manner .... no $@#$^%#! if you know what I mean :))

The guest bathroom redo is coming along beautifully ... Rob installed the new toilet on Saturday :)) However, we are still missing the SEAT but hey... at least it is a functioning toilet. Apparently the seat is sold separately! Of course! Why didn't I think of that??

I had thought about going to either Lowes or Home Depot today but here comes another round of our daily Thunderstorms so I guess Rob can pick one out on his way home from work. The walls are no longer green { see photos of new toilet and vanity below } since a designer at his work { he is an Network Admin for an Architectural Firm } said they should be neutral.... like an ECRU.... he asked me what that was and I said it's a color dear! He said, "Oh, I wasn't sure if she was cursing at me!" ROFLMAO!!

So that's it for now, I'm feeling much better in the past few days than I have for almost a week since my Fibromyalgia came back with a vengence when I strayed from my strict diet guidelines. It definitely wasn't worth the bread or ice cream :( I won't be doing that again EVER!

Buttonfly Freebie ...

Okay, so I LOVE buttons and saw some adorable T-Shirts with buttons sewn on in different shapes and thought to myself, "Wow! Wouldn't that be fun to do in a digital image?"

Hmmmm, fun and frustrating at the same time because it got a little tedious in all the "sewing" but this is what I ended up with.

The green and purple buttons are made by me, the pink and black were re-colored CU by Erika of The Curly Wirly Twirly Girlies, the yellow were CU from the ebook I bought by Sandra Adamson of Designs by Seascraps and the thread was a free CU item from Shauna of Pineapple Plantation Designs. There, I think that covers all the credits ;)

You can Right-Click and "Save As" the .png file if you like... the background IS transparent!

I have so many ideas flying around in my head but sadly not a lot of time to work on them but I think I may be doing more of these... TTYL

My New Car ;) FINALLY!!

I just can't believe it... I think I need to go drive again! Actually I do need to go pick-up the little kiddos but I FINALLY got my "NEW" car after 2 and a half years! Long story short: Hubby bought the car with a smashed in Front End because of the Low Miles on EBAY for a couple hundred dollars. We had to drive down to West Palm Beach and pay for it and have it towed back here... I thought he was nuts but he did go to Vo-Tech for paint and body then worked in a dealership through Community College and then on to University so maybe I'm the one who's nuts? Turns out I am because I am NUTS over this cute little car!! He has a mechanic friend so the car spent the first year at the shop while they worked along on it and got parts where they could ( not as easy as I found out ) and then a little over a year ago he painted it one weekend whilst I went to visit my Mom. It takes BOTH time AND money and those aren't always in ready supply so .... well, we just got new tires and there are a couple of more things like Window Tinting... Hello? This is FLORIDA in the SUMMER ;) Oh, I'm soooo happpy ;)

Freebie Run ABC Flower Buttons

It's been a busy week as I have had my Mom and Niece visiting me but we have had so much fun. We celebrated my Wedding Anniversary and Hubby's Birthday last weekend and went to go see Blue Man Group. It was fun to go see at least Once but I thought a bit expensive ( about $200 with taxes and parking and snacks ).

Now this weekend is Father's Day. I'm just not ready.

We are in Full Summer here with the incredible humidity and heat but I am really not complaining since at least there aren't any wildfires for now ( sometimes the Lightning will start One ). This is the typical Florida Summer weather with Thunderstorms practically every day ;)

Oh, and the Space Shuttle is scheduled to land tomorrow Morning so I will have to listen for the "Boom Boom" since I have lived my whole life only about 40 Minutes from the Kennedy Space Center.

I finally found a few minutes to package-up the "Run ABC" Flower Buttons and Frame.
