Swimming @ the Y and Freebie Flower Buttons

Mishka has been taking swimming lessons @ the Y for a few weeks now... She is rather humorous and looks almost like a cat who has fallen in the water and is in a mad, panicked scramble for the wall like clawing almost... we certainly have a long way to go before she is swimming like a fishy but in order to get some practice in we took the children to the Y yesterday for a couple of hours. We had to get out after only 20 Min. or so and wait another 20 Min. till the Thunder and Lightning Storm quickly passed through but then the pool was re-opened and most of the people had left so we pretty much had the place to ourselves!

I was playing around with the flower buttons from Farrah's Creations again... I re-coloured them and made a "Circular" Frame. I have zipped this frame in with the individual buttons ;)

Hey... I made a Blinkie!

I wanted to make an animated gif blinkie so I followed a tutorial I found by Andrea @ Creative Creations... If you have always wanted to try and make One I assure you it was VERY easy to make so go ahead and try ;)

Button Flowers Freebie

I have been working on these in what little spare time I could find in this past week... What a crazy week because it seems Mon. -Wed. were all lumped into Thursday ( translation, I don't know where they went but at least I did manage to get Mishka to her swimming lessons and some other appointments out of the way but I have a sore throat and have felt sick to my stomach for a couple of days now ) and now it is Friday so I think I will be turning my computers OFF for the weekend and focusing on my family ;)

I still want to make a Tree and some more insects like Lady Bug, Bumble Bee, and maybe a Caterpillar.

I'm gonna have to get back to ya on my winners since I need to think a little and it has been One crazy week, but what else is new?

I got my phone/internet problems fixed FINALLY after weeks of torture... I got a new wire run from the street to my jack since the last ( of 5 techs ) was here on Wednesday and spent 5 HOURS trying to solve the mystery and finally gave-up. HOORAY!!

Here is another part to Seasons in the Sun and I promise my last Buttonfly! I just bought me a bunch of CU Stuff and I have so many things I want to make... like a Sun, Flowers, LadyBug... Oh, and I have a lot of papers with dots that I made a few weeks ago and just have to figure out which Ones I like and how I want to package them.

I bought new Twin beds for the kids... they were delivered yesterday and we will be setting them up tonight so bye bye Toddler beds!

Mishka had her 1st and 2nd Swimming lessons this week... The First One wasn't too bad, she only tried to escape 3 times and didn't put up too much of a fuss when they took her back to the poolside.... But yesterday, OMG! She Screamed and Kicked... Wow, I guess it was because they were making her go UNDER the water. I watched from the Lobby @ the Y and wanted to go in there but her instructor told me after that she will get used to it and that the best thing for me to do is stay out of it. The hardest part was when Mishka spotted me through the window and started motioning for me to come get her!! Oh, she has to learn how to swim.

I'm soooo happy I have an appt. to get my hair done in an Hour... let's just say I look a little "Haggish" these days as this has been put-off for far too long! I'm getting "The Works!"

I am almost done with a LO from Candee's XOXO kit over @ Mermaid Haven and I can't wait to share ;) I just LOVE her Style!

I've got the AT&T Blues :(

I have had endless internet/phone woes over the past few weeks all when Rainy season started here. The latest problem after 3 techs have been to my home is that sometimes I cannot call out on my house phone but others can call in and I lose my internet even though I have DSL. It seems to happen when people call in and there is no rhyme or reason to how long that lasts. I have gone outside and un-plugged at the box and plugged back in like they instructed me but that doesn't work so I just have to wait till it comes back.

I am going to find the cell number of the original tech ( since he called me from it ) because I am so frustrated at this point and I don't want another guy but the original guy and they don't ever send the same guy even though I requested him.

The last guy said we need to pay someone to come put a new phone line in since our wires are old ( the house was built 20 years ago ) .... but I'm going to have to start talking to supervisors or something and escalate the problem since I pay $7 a month for wiring inside my house and the outside belongs to them and I am NOT going
to spend $100 for a new line!

Whew.... I am glad I got that off my chest and sorry to bore you ladies though!

Rob, Mishka, Bram and I went to the Pony Party @ my eldest daughters ( Mom to my other 4 Granddaughters ) and had a GREAT time on the 3rd.... However, silly me forgot my camera! I used the digi-Fuji I had given her and took lots and lots of photos but now I have to wait for her to find her USB cable. Actually, I could just get the camera and upload them myself directly from the Flash Card but I didn't think of that before... DOH!

My neighbors are all a bunch of Pyromaniacs. All the grandkids were over on the 4th and we cooked out Hamburgers and Brats ... then watched the show in 360 degrees ( sort of like surround fireworks ) from my driveway ;)

Rob trimmed a lot in the newly renovated bath and I need to get those pics up off my camera.

It was a 3 Day Weekend here in the U.S.A. and we had lots of fun but I'm happy it is over because the Pre-schoolers will be back in camp at their charter school and I will have my BREAK finally ;) I get to do all the housework and paperwork I couldn't get done!

Oh, One last thing I just remembered.... I finally got a chance to inspect my Sweet Pepper plant after 2 Straight weeks of non-stop Thunderstorms and I have Peppers!! About 4 Right now on about 30 plants ( I didn't expect that many plants to make it so I think I will be "sharing" with any neighbors that are interested ).... mmmmm.... Yummy.... I love me some Sauted Peppers ;)

I have no desire to talk about the phone technician's visit on Monday and the DSL tech today! What a GIANT pain it has all been and I am finally to the point I will just not set my expectations too high so I won't be disappointed. Off to my 3 Year's Old ( today ) Granddaughter Charlotte's Pony Party ;)

Seasons Paint Palette:

Here is my "Seasons in the Sun" Paint Palette just in case anyone is interested.

It started off with just the Blues, Pinks and Sagey/Sand colors and all the rest just needed to be there as well as Black and White.

I will add another download tomorrow and then I plan to work on some website Secure Socket Layers (SSL) over the weekend so no more posts with FREEBIES or otherwise till sometime next week.

I have tons of buttons since that is the First thing I made in order to start with my button creations... hmmmmm, maybe those and some papers?? I'll have to see what happens.

July is going to be a very busy month for me with doctor's appointments for me and my little guy. He has to get his hearing and sight tested before school starts up in August! I have to get my Saliva tested ( I have the kit just have to plan which day I will do the samples ) for my hormones since I am extremely Estrogen Dominant. That causes a bunch of problems and I just found out a year ago so I have to take Progesterone Capsules and put plant based cream on everyday. Also, I have to get my DEXA Bone Scan to make sure I don't have anymore bone loss... so far just a little in my spine. Then there is the Fibromyalgia and Hypothyroid diseases. Geeeez.... can you believe I'm only 43?

Okay, don't mean to sound depressing. I am feeling great since I am sticking to my strict dietary guidelines for pre-diabetic with Insulin Resistance... It's called.... are you ready for this?? LOW-CARB ;)

Off to do the dishes and get the Pre-Schoolers to bed!

Toilet Seat ;)

I got a new toilet seat for the new toilet last night! Rob bought it on his way home from work and guess what?? No One can slam it down. That's right, Mishka is notorious for just letting the lid crash down and I wish I could have captured the look on her face when she let go and it just SLOWLY lowered by itself rather than slamming ;) She was so surprised and happy :)

Also, here is the new sink on top of the vanity... it is all secured minus One nut that went missing so now Rob has to go get another from the Ace Hardware Store
:( Still, now we can not only use the potty but also wash our hands :)

That's all I have for now but I doze off to sleep last night dreaming of new things I can make with buttons and I have a bunch more paper to get out to you all as well but today I need to organize my desk and work on webmaster stuff.
